Professional Studies

The Department of Professional Studies is dedicated to providing students with the skills and knowledge required to thrive in professional environments. Our programs focus on developing competencies that are essential in today’s global workforce, including leadership, ethics, communication, and entrepreneurship. All the porgrammes offered at the Department is vocational or industry-based courses which aims to create industry professionals. Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission of Sri Lanka and industry-based certifications are offered to students who successfully complete the courses. We prepare students for a wide range of careers by offering interdisciplinary courses that complement technical expertise with professional acumen. The courses offered ranges from short courses, certificate level, advanced certificate level and diploma level courses.

The Department is committed to shaping well-rounded professionals who are not only technically proficient but also possess the soft skills required for leadership and collaboration. Through workshops, internships, and real-world projects, students will gain the confidence and expertise needed to excel in their chosen careers.
